Couch felt moist and smelled.
Carpet appears to be around 20 years old.
This little hotel has so much potential and was probably a great gem in its day but that day has long passed. Really too bad the owners have not kept it up.
The pros are that the unit had a kitchen, dishes and silverware which helped us save money to make up for the $120.00 fee that we paid to have our door unlocked.
My son and I both woke with bites all over our ankles. My daughter slept in the second bedroom and said both beds in there were extremely uncomfortable.
I usually try to highlight pros and cons of every place we stay. However, this is the first time we are asked to pay to have someone unlock our bedroom door because the hotel does not have a key to the bedroom. No, this is not a joke, if you by mistake lock your bedroom you will need to pay $120.00 dollars to have your door unlocked. I read other reviews about broken ACs and having to pay to fix the AC and I didn't believe it until we had to pay $120 dollars to unlock our bedroom door. For the remainder of our stay we did not use the TV, touched the AC, blinds, windows or anything else that may break to avoid getting charged for it.
Overall, if you want to support a local business this is not the place. Pay attention to the reviews as we did not and our experience was not pleasant.
First off. There was a murder in room 329. Then I got swindled for Platinum wi-fi (the password is q14-2rt56) because the wifi was down the whole time because of a blizzard. Then they asked me to fix the generator and got mad when I failed to do so. Then another murder in 110. Then we had to remind them to use the back up generator.
This place is not really a resort as their name entails. The property is pretty small similar to a roadside motel, the rooms are not very clean, there is no beach area and the master bedroom had either bed bugs or a spider problem because we would wake up with bites all over our body, but the children in the other room were OK. The rooms are decent, but not very clean. The unit is aging and lacks upkeep as the bath tub had old paint and was moldy.
Not fancy but a good value for the price. The restaurant next door Mile Marker 88 is out of this World good and is a 20 foot walk. The manager needs to cheer up a little. He is getting that grumpy old man syndrome.
We arrived on site on Sunday, just looking for a fun Skiing trip. Then we got caught in a blizzard; the employees refused to let anyone leave. It wasn't even so bad until the murders started. All of the phone lines were dead, followed by the power. Then their backup generator broke and they asked a hotel guest to fix it because "he knows computers". They then proceeded to get mad at the now panicked guests and forgot for several hours that they had a backup generator. Did I mention there were two murders? The doctor can't be trusted either; we got in trouble for punching a nurse. 0/10 experience. If I could give this less than one star, I would.
Great location. Poor rooms.
