I have no clue who answered the phone when we called to book a boat for a full day at $400.00 but they are too busy to take a reservation or even tell you the name of the boat that you are attempting to book. I am in customer service business and would never be so rude. They will not get my business nor anyone that I come in contact with that is traveling to Islamorada. RUDE RUDE RUDE
Caption Jeff was very knowledgeable and informative. He gave us a map for free and circled all the nice fishing and snorkeling spots and showed us how to get there, The location could not be any better, your in the ocean in about 2 minutes from the dock. The Islamorada party sand bar is right in front of you, There are restaurants all around for you to pull up to. I will be back for sure.
Mike was really kind to us. This was the best deal we could find for Boat Rentals on Islamorada after a lot of calling around. He briefed us on where we could and couldn't go on the boat however, I wish that there was more training. He let us take the boat out by ourselves and for someone who has no boating experience, that's quite terrifying. But we ended up figuring it out and snorkeled at the sandbars and alligator reef. Jeff was not there the day we went but was great at communicating with Mike.
Cptn Jeff was Great!!! And so was our boat that we rented, and our day on the water. The price was the best we were able to find on Islamorada. This was our first time out on the water in the Keys and Jeff made it so safe and easy for us. He gave us a map, showed us exactly where to go and where to stay away from. He even took us out, in our boat that we would be renting, showed us exactly how to operate it and gave us a fast tour of the water and how to safely get in and out of his inlet. It could not have been easier to get in and out of the ocean and the bay (not sure why the other people had such a hard time). Jeff made it VERY clear what his guidelines were for operating the boat, and where to avoid in order to not run into the highly damaging sands and sea grasses of the keys. He told us about some great fishing locations where we had a blast! Probably 40 fish in 2 hours, no exaggeration! Lots of great restaurants to pull up to, plenty of open water to cruise and explore, and plenty of fun and relaxation. Next time I'm in the keys I'm renting from Jeff as soon as I get there and I'll return the boat the day I leave. Don't waste your time going to any other boat rental location. We checked out Bud n Mary's and they were ready to just let us take the boat out for the day with out giving us any direction or helpful information. Friendly nice people. Manager Jeff was genuinely hopeful and helpful for me to have fun with his boat. He convinced me to fish. He directed me to "Chica rocks" a reef a short distance he told me how and it was great I caught a large 5.5 lb...out of season... Gag grouper - i released. And a bunch of amazingly beautiful brilliantly "yellow snapper" (also released). As he said "in 20 seconds they start biting. " Not planning to fish he helped me have a lot of unexpected fun. The boat was in good shape and there was no funny math on the gas price or quantity and no unexpected charges . nice staff too!
